225 Hours Yoga Teacher Training with Ayurveda Principles : Graduation Ceremony

Pranam and Namaste to our Global Yoga and Ayurveda Enthusiasts !

We are overjoyed to share the highlights of our recent Dikshant Samaroh (graduation ceremony), marking a historic milestone in our mission to bring the authentic, ancient wisdom of Bharat to the Western world.

A Milestone in Holistic Education: The Class of 2026

The Yoga Kulam community celebrated the successful completion of our inaugural 225-hour Yoga and Ayurveda Teacher Training program, a rigorous 9-month journey that integrated 200 hours of traditional Yoga with 25 hours of foundational Ayurveda. Out of 20 dedicated participants, 14 graduates (including those from our new expansion in Mexico) have now earned their certification, supported by a faculty of 19 expert instructors. This graduation is more than a ceremony; it is a strategic step in spreading holistic wellness across the USA. By equipping these new teachers with the ability to individualize practices through an Ayurvedic lens, we are creating a network of ambassadors capable of transforming community health, from corporate offices to healthcare settings, ensuring that the roots of Yoga remain preserved while becoming accessible to all.

Wisdom for the Journey: Voices of the Tradition

Our graduates were blessed with guidance from esteemed mentors who reminded us that this certification is not an end, but a sacred beginning—a Diksha into a life of service and Dharma. Vijaya Ji Turimella (Director, Aum School, Edison NJ) emphasized the practical power of our integrated curriculum, stating, "Understanding Ayurveda helps individualize yoga practices, making them more effective and safe for different individuals and situations." This sentiment of communal responsibility was echoed by Sanjay Ji Tripathi (Joint Secretary, National HSS USA), who inspired the class to maintain a balance between self-study and sharing, noting, "Continue the flow of knowledge through the balance of Swadhya (self-study) and Pravachana (teaching) to walk the path of Dharma." Finally, Dr. Devraj Ji Nayak (President, HSS San Antonio Chapter & Board Member of Yoga Kulam) offered a profound reminder of the ultimate goal of our practice, urging graduates to remain authentic to the lineage: "Yoga is vast and promises complete freedom from suffering; stay authentic to the practice and do not compromise on its comprehensiveness." We move forward with these words in our hearts, committed to fostering social harmony and environmental awareness through every breath and posture.

A 2 part series Webinar on Bhakti Philosophy and Practice in the 21st Century

The recent webinars by Yogashree Raghuram NV were a profound immersion into the heart of Bhakti, bridging the gap between ancient scriptural wisdom and the emotional complexities of our modern lives.

The Anatomy of Love: Reclaiming Bhakti in the 21st Century

Yoga Kulam was privileged to host a transformative two-part webinar series led by the esteemed Yogashree Raghuram NV, a global authority on Yoga philosophy and spiritual guide for Yoga Bharti. Moderated by Gauri Ji Joshi, the sessions drew over 110 enthusiastic participants from across the globe. Raghuram Ji introduced the Narada Bhakti Sutras, shifting the dialogue from ritualistic worship to the "anatomy of Prema" (enriched love). He dismantled the misconception that Bhakti is a product of blind faith, instead presenting it as a natural, innate human quality—a Bhavana present in every child—that serves as a direct path to self-realization and mental expansion.

From Ego to Appreciation: Deep Insights into Bhakti Sadhana

The core of Raghuram Ji’s message centered on the purification of our emotions. He offered a "litmus test" for true Bhakti, explaining that while love is inherent, it is often corrupted by the ego into lust, complaint, or possession. Yoga Kulam’s mission to bring authentic Yoga to the West was beautifully reflected in his call to transform our daily interactions: "The goal of Bhakti Sadhana is not finding God externally, but dissolving the ego to recognize the divine presence in creation." By moving from tolerance to acceptance, and finally to appreciation, we dissolve the "I" that creates separation. As Raghuram Ji poignantly noted, "Bhavana belongs to us; use it to go back to the consciousness itself." This teaching empowers us to live sustainably and harmoniously, seeing the world not as a collection of objects to be possessed, but as a divine manifestation to be served.

Yoga Kulam & Sewa USA Hosted Dr Jagannath V. Dixit for a lecture on Obesity Management & Diabetes Remission

In an inspiring convergence of ancient discipline and modern clinical research, Yoga Kulam, in collaboration with Sewa USA Central Jersey, hosted a transformative educational event featuring the world-renowned Dr. Jagannath Dixit. A Professor and medical researcher from Bharat, Dr. Dixit presented his groundbreaking "Lifestyle Approach to Diabetes Remission" to an engaged audience of over 50 participants. The lecture highlighted staggering statistics from his research: while 71% of doctors believe diabetes is reversible, only 17% share this with patients due to perceived barriers in discipline. Dr. Dixit’s campaign has already reached 43 countries and helped over 2,000 individuals achieve complete medical remission. He shared compelling case studies of participants achieving HbA1c reductions of over 5% and significant weight loss simply by aligning their metabolic clocks with natural insulin cycles, proving that the most effective healthcare can often be free and accessible.

The core of Dr. Dixit’s message resonates deeply with Yoga Kulam’s vision of Integrating Yoga into Daily Life. He identifies insulin—not just blood sugar—as the primary driver of obesity and Type 2 Diabetes, advocating for a return to the "feast and famine" physiology of our ancestors. By limiting intake to two nutritious meals a day and eliminating hidden sugars, we allow the body to utilize stored energy, much like the practice of Mitahara (moderate diet) in Hatha Yoga. Dr. Dixit emphasized the simplicity of the path: "Diabetes is primarily a disease of insulin... lifestyle modification is the only sustainable way to achieve remission." He urged the community to stop treating God-given bodies with expensive, risky surgeries and instead embrace a disciplined lifestyle, stating, "End-organ damage, not just blood sugar levels, should determine our approach." This lecture serves as a cornerstone for our mission to educate healthcare professionals and the public, proving that when we pair the ancient wisdom of Bharat with modern science, we empower every individual to reach their full potential.
